I was in a pretty good mood this morning having enjoyed the ride to work with the temperature at 70 degrees and taking a slightly different route with a round-a-bout (it was fun).
Until I saw this on KCBike.
Bicyclist killed in Lee’s Summit
KMBC-TV 9 reports that a 23 year-old Lee’s Summit woman has been struck and killed by a semi truck at the QuikTrip at Hwys 150 and 291 in the southern section of that suburb. The cyclist was travelling on Hwy 150 when a tanker truck bound for the gas station turned into her and trapped her under the truck. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. No other details are available while the LSPD reconstructs the crash scene.
This makes me angry.
